Agree. Most of these logs you could cut to length with a top-handle saw. Where did all the trunk rounds go? It reminds me of poplar size trees. These are mostly birch, correct?i had good reason to get bigger saw...now i dont.....

Great load of wood. Some douglas fir on the back road to the cabin.
My $5 268 dump saw did the deed.

A midwest USA expression, trunk rounds are large diameter and branch rounds are small. Trunk rounds usually require a large chainsaw and branch rounds can be handled with a small saw, such as a top handle that climbers usually operate. Smaller branch rounds can be dried and burned without splitting but rounds taken from the trunk like those shown just above by BigBadBob, must be split up and are often noodle cut into halves and quarter sections prior to splitting for firewood.yes mostly birch. some spruce and random aspen/alder logs
trunk rounds ?

I did the same when the chain was backordered except I had a 16" .325 . Have the 20" narrow kerf husky bar and chain and also a 20" stihl narrow kerf chain that I have yet to try. Its an awfully impressive saw in stock form! Ran mine about the same amount as you did so far.Yes, liking the 550xpg mk2 so far. Around 5 tanks of fuel through it so far running stock .325 18" bar. I did pick up a 20" 3/8 bar and rim but not sure if I will change it over or not.
