My best move was going from the cheap Chinese wheels that came with my grinder to the green Tecomec wheels. And then the CBN wheel made it that much better yet

@Homemade yup that's all I've ever ground, the pink wheels last a few years for me. I cant really justify the cost of a square grinder. I'm a Machinist by trade & a weekend saw operator/firewood jockey LOL.

It does , I used the antique depth gauge Oregon tool to do the rakers after filling it.

Cbn isn’t diamond. It’s “Compressed Boron Nitrate”. Those wheels are for steel cutters. The diamond ones are for carbide teeth.

If the budget allows, they are well worth it.
I can tell a difference between the stone and these when pressing into the tooth.

The wheel is also the same height and shape every time it hits the chain. That's worth the price of entry in my book.
