Just like this, the elbow bolted right up. Made another piece to keep the filter from flopping around to much, and to hold the screw to keep the hood in place. Ill get some more detailed pics tomorrow.

Red,

Did you open the carb at all?

I think I've just gonna remove all the flocking and add metal to my stock filter.

It seems like the AF cover really needs to be be vented.

Carb is still 100% stock.

The saw felt stronger with the new air filter.

Might just be .00025 stronger. But it was holding pretty much the same rpm wit 3/8 as .325 in the wood.

My 346 and 261c both dropped bout 1k in the wood with 3/8.

Gonna grab a loop of picco full chisel today aND see how it does..

Up close pics of the air filter mod.

I made that black plastic piece (towards kill switch) to hold the cover screw, and keep the filter Elbow from moving too much.

You can see the black piece better here.

Uh oh a stihl part on an echo......

Got impatient waiting for the one I ordered to arrive, had to get a loop from the stihler anyway. Well I made it fit. Even works...

Set at bout 12,800

I think it noodles pretty well....

Definitely takes more pressure to clean up with the lo pro. Seems to scoot right along tho.

A std 3/8×7 rim is .055 smaller than the 3/8x7 picco rim.
Had to add 1 dl to the poulan chain count to fit the echo 63 dl.

Thoughts?

Ported, air filter mod, and picco setup.

Just to see how far I actually made it with this saw. I think the picco may be the ticket for these saws...

Rough math says you went from 24 seconds to 12. Impressive to say the least. Nice job boys
