So what's the deal on this h circuit that prevents leaning out ?

Zoo City Sawz
Um, like a bypass. Think it is to avoid lean seizing. Altho it dosent seem to work well on the 590's.

Think these saws are running out of air. Because you can still fuel them down in rpm. Wouldn't be the case if it had a greater volume of air available.

After talking with drf255 today, I came to the conclusion that the 026 carb supports a greater rpm because it dosent have a choke in the carb restricting the airflow. Although the filter on the 026 does, it has other options being both carbs are roughly 13.5 venturi.

Cut4fun says he uses the region 3/8 rim for the lopro. Is that a 325 or 3/8 on it?

.325 stock.

Stihl uses the "micro" spline for the p7 rims. Which is smaller than the small 7 on our echos.
I will turn down a few 3/8×8 small spline rinse to the correct diameter for the lo pro when I get home. A std 3/8 rim will work, but may beat up the drivers if used heavy. The diameter of a std 3/8×7 is slightly smaller and 3/8×8 is larger than the proper size p7 rim.

This might be one of the few 50cc that likes full size 3/8 chain. I haven't found one yet, but this one may do it.

I think .325 x8 only works for short bars or limbing. If you are going bar buried 16-20" wood the .325 just wallow in its chips and slows down vs .325x7

I bought a stihl small spline 3/8 at my stihl dealer for my 490 sorry I forgot which stihl it's for and also I enlarged the oil holes on some husky 18 inch 346 .325 bars you just have to take one link out I prefer the .325 18 balances great I don't have much 3/8 bars and chains to compare.

Did you just grind the adjuster hole to the chain slot? Chains should still be 72 dl for 18". Hope I don't have to drop a link to test my other bars, don't have a breaker/spinner to do so.

Happy Easter guys.

I didn't have to drop a link but the chain is almost at its limit that's why I cut a link I use mine alot and wanted the chain life on the gb bars I have the chain adjuster lined up close enough to use and they oil great after I slightly enlarged the oil holes .thanks for this thread I haven't been into these saws yet.

I threw full comp 3/8 on my 500p, and a d176 pro lite bar.
Same setup my old 500vl has had on it since it was brand new.
Once I get a new video camera, I'll pull both saws and do a comparison.
Is it going to win any races? Nope. But it pulled just fine in a 16" fir round I threw it in.

The only other echo bar I have is a 14" in picco.

I'm wondering if an 8 pin on this saw and a 14 would be a light saber.

I think so.

@Homelite410 made a small batch of picco rims that fit this small spline drum.

I am going to test
3/8×16 and 20
picco 16 or 18
.325 x8 14/18
Wonder if I can find a small spline 404 rim? I Do have a 14" solid tip bar that could run .404. Lol
