Damn looks like it was stolen from the Portland area.

Ha! This is a local saw, sold at the local dealer. The Silverdale location is closed but the Port Orchard dealer is still there and still has the same phone number! To top it off, looks like this saw lived it's life within 5 miles of the shop it was sold in. I love dealer stickers on things.. Old bikes for example(one of my other hobbies). They help tell a story.

Did some more cleaning tonight. Just wd40 and simple green. I use an acid brush that I cut the bristles short on to get in the hard to reach areas. I decided to just remove the tank because there was so much crap up in there.

Bummer about this.. The rest of the saw is so clean!
Any bright ideas on how to hide it or repair it? Wish those bottom tank cover deals they sell on Ebay would cover it..

The fuel and impulse line were dry, cracked and falling apart. I figured the boot would be too, so I ordered a new one, but it's in pretty good shape. I'll use the old one for now while I collect parts to do the flat top conversion then swap to the new carb box and boot, filter base, HD2 filter and cover. If anyone has those parts I'd be happy to buy them off you!

Bring it with you to a local PPG auto paint supplier and get a pint of their lower end single stage urethane. It's around $75 for the paint, hardener and reducer and you can literally paint 30 saws with what you'll get. Tough as nails when hardened as well. They will computer match the color.

Tape a line across it and paint down from the tape to the base. You can use a brush. You don't need reducer if brushing on. It's better without it.

Thanks for the TIP! That's kinda what I was thinking, I'll look into that PPG stuff.
Another Idea was this plasti-dip stuff. Anyone try it? Not sure how durable it would be.
