Yeah, I have a full set of WCS raker gauges, all sizes now. 3/8"LP to .404". Very useful for different types of wood, different chain gauge and different power-head performance. Really liking this simple little product for *dialing it in* chain-wise in performance. Very practical for every day saw use. Kudo's to Gordy

If you bought the original Duke's chain I bet you a chocolate chip cookie you will be happy. If the raker gauges you bought are the WCS gauges I'll double or triple the bet. Gordy makes some good stuff
I did get the OG I believe and yes the raker gauge is simple and effective so glad I come across those as well. Can’t wait to run some of the chain and file it some. Basically if I like it I’ll be ordering 15 chains in 14/18/20/24/36. So 75 total should keep the truck stocked for the year

And I thought I had issues. With your more practical application of saw chain for (guessing)professional use I now know I have issues regarding chain saws. Truthfully already knew my saw and ax issues. With Duke's saw chain(original) I think you will be pleased regarding cost vs performance. Good chain so far. Just my humble opinion here. Keep us posted on a pro's opinion

Yeah I have a saw issue as well. Yes professional use most definitely don’t go through to much until you do. Some of the old cottage trees I remove good days you only hit one or two nails. Bad days I’ve made 5 different cuts and hit 5 different nails. Crazy *s-word some can be saved some go straight to the scrap pile. We run 60/70 hrs a week use saws with 14/20/24/36 basically every day. I’m not a cheap ass I believe in you get what you pay for some things are fine with a cheaper version some aren’t. Way I see it if I can get 3 for the price of 1 basically then I have 3 times to hit *s-word vs one lol if it holds a decent edge even better. I touch up saws before they’re dull so it don’t bother me to spend 30 min out of 10 hrs to get the razors edge back. Nothing beats a sharp saw that’s ported

That would be good. I've looked at several things on your site with good prices but the shipping kills it.
We had so many problems with the USPS in NC we had to shut it off. Anything going through Charlotte or Gastonia is a black hole. We only offer Priority mail service and UPS there now.

We're working on it.

The Greensboro NC hub is the worst for me.

One instance is the forester 3pk screnches. From saw salvage they are 18.11 delivered. Through Walmart they are 13.50 free shipping and still come from saw salvage.
It's because of the pricing structure and the shipping options we use.

So, on online marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, walmart) "free shipping" is incentivized, but the reality the cost of shipping is included in the retail price of the goods. We still ship using the cheapest USPS ground services to the areas on the marketplaces in order to keep the retails down and more competitive. Also, with the Walmart you aren't considering the sales tax.

But, from the website, we have shut down the mail services in the areas we have the most trouble with because the reputational hit we take as a result of their unreliability. Some people just can't understand I'm not doing it to 'em, it's just the postal service.

Also, for the website pricing the initial cost of goods doesn't include the shipping costs inside and you actually will save on the website with "stacked" discounts and actual combined and calculated shipping on items. Most people buy more than one small item when they shop directly with us anyways, so as you level up in weight the price difference in shipping + the discount it's actually cheaper to use the website. Every move we make is based on some compromise that we think is the best one.

Add 2 packs of wrenches to your cart and then compare to Walmart pricing. You'll see what I mean.

Jan/Feb/March I was spending 8 hours a week or more dealing with/managing lost USPS packages in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana and the worst of all, Missouri. So after a couple thousand bucks went down the drain and I had some upset folks I decided I was going to make a change on some of these things. Most of the items that were getting lost were larger, higher value packages, such as bars etc. The insurance process stinks too. It's a hassle for me and I have to hassle the customer even more because I need them to sign forms or affidavits, so we just eat it. Imagine that. You didn't get your stuff and then I'm beating your door down with bureaucratic forms. It's a temporary adaptation and one of the only levers I can pull to make the adjustment so customers in these problem regions actually get what they ordered on time. It's a really broad brush I'm painting with but it's the best I can do. I lost some sleep over it 🤣

I see what you are saying and I know you are doing your best to keep prices low and we all appreciate it. Yes usps is pathetic. I have ordered a few things from you and will continue to do so when the need arises. More times than not I only need one item and the shipping is more than the item in some cases. I still haven't tried that bar and chain combo I got from you. I appreciate the great customer service and communication you provide.

It's definitely an issue. These days, it is much more likely that my eBay purchases sent through USPS get lost or delayed by a few weeks than actually show up on time.

I’ve noticed the same. Regardless of what it is. Sometimes it shows up other times it says delivered and it is not. We are remote and do all are dog/cat via chewy and in the last month have had more issues than we ever have. To the point of calling and asking for money back because they can’t even keep a schedule. I order 500# of dog food every month have been for over a year and just started having issues. Has been on auto pay since the start.
