It does look a little intimidating for sure. One must also know his own limitations. That type of cut is not for everyone.
You gotta really be careful.

I have no limitations, everything can be learned. Limits are in your mind. You can do it Jeff![emoji41]

Great vids Dan.

Yeah the dollar races were a hoot.
I got lucky there, if you averaged all my times I don't think I would have come out so well.
Was interesting what saws/setups did the best. If Dave's 084 had another inch of bar things would have changed.
In softer wood TM's pipe saw may have been it, seemed the chain was a bit racey for such hard wood though.

I thought the belly bar would have been an advantage being less prone to coming completely out of the kerf but it seemed to bore slower and tended to make me break through the top.

130+ bore cuts and I didn't see one bad kickback.

It's amazing how quickly those fast saws start to feel 'normal' and everything else is just slow...

Yes... it's crazy how slow everything else felt after running Scott's saws. His chains were stellar as well.

The day started kinda gloomy, with rain on and off, but it turned into a great afternoon.

Still early in the morning. I don't think any saws had been ran yet.

Here we've gotten some cuts in. IMG_3356.JPG

I took a panoramic pic too, but I can't figure out how to upload it here.
