Cleaning gas tank

How do you clean/flush your gas tanks? Or don’t bother because there’s a filter?

Slosh fresh mix, dump in drain pan repeat as necessary until satisfied.

U need a white plastic bucket.

Dump fuel in it. Slosh fresh in the saw and repeat.

Let the bucket sit until the trash settles out.

Decant into a separate jug for the lawnmower or the wife’s ride.

Use some carb & choke cleaner if it stuck on otherwise just use the premix slosh method.

Is that just saw dust? Pour some gas in it and suck it up using a syringe.

After I do what JK14 posted in #2, I dump whatever I remove from the tank into a class jar with a lid and save the "waste" fuel. That makes a very good powerful cleaning solvent.

if sloshing mix and dumping doesnt get out what is in there i check to see if its stuck down if so i dont worry about it. if its water or something i rince until clean

A little fuel and sloshing works fine on small equipment you can pick up, but if you work on bigger stuff get a Mityvac evacuator hand pump. Love mine. And it works on small stuff just fine.

Empty mix and flush with brake cleaner, blow out debris with air compressor.
