Obviously this isn't the case. He is being held accountable....right now. But that doesn't solve the buyers problem. The guys in this thread that have chocked up the dough and parts and MM's time HAVE solved the problem (or will soon).

I'm sorry guys to pound home this buyer beware stuff, but I don't think the consumer protection laws we have extend to ported chainsaws....and it doesn't matter anyway. The damage is done ... its gonna get fixed. But Jason has zero reputation left on this board after this. THATS on him.
business is business doesn't matter what the price was

Dallas, I agree. A contract is a contract....at any price. But the only thing here the buyer can do is either sue him, or take it to the forum. The damage was done...

That's on you man.

Exactly my point. It is on me. Either I get my stuff or I don't. But at this point I can't just stop doing business with a "crook" ...its not that simple

I'm saying its always on the buyer. I've said this before, and not unique to Jason. Why would you spend $1500 on a saw without doing due diligence? Maybe the buyer DID and I don't know about it.... so then that just sucks for him....and right now Jason is getting what comes to him. Right now his work is sinking...obviously.

I have to agree with this. I said it earlier in this thread that I don't feel bad for anyone who gets screwed by Jason at this point. Now that everyone knows what he's done, if someone still choose to do business with him they are a fool and no better than he is. Giving him money supports him which means anyone who gives him money at this point is no better than he is.

Ok ok.....lets give an analogy. Walk into a dark alley...unarmed, and without escort. Ya get mugged or killed. Whatever. What good does the "right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" do for ya at that point? It gives you recourse yes, but doesn't fix the crime. The damage is done.

Same here. no different. If a buyer is unarmed with information or doesn't have a "ringer" its on them. And Dallas is right, the $$ doesn't really matter. A contract is a contract. If you don't get whats agreed upon, there is a broken contract. Those lead bad places.

question
what are you gonna do if you dont get your saws back then what ? do we chalk it up to buyer beware and tell you tough *s-word ?
maybe instead of sending all your saws you should have sent one at a time ? would that been more sensible
not everyone makes the money you do or can afford to lose as much
it cost me a extra 500 bucks to have my saw redone but im not allowed to have my opinion or speak bad
quit jacking his dick and grow a set of your own

On a personal note, far as I can tell I don't have breach of contract from Jason...I just am waiting for him to fulfill his end. I'm paid up, with parts and $$.

Ah, you bring up another good point. Those people spending what they can't afford on ... well... ported saws. People want to be able to spend willy nilly and not be beholden to buyer beware. Thats called having your cake and eating it too.

Actually, because I have so many saws with Jason still, if I don't get my stuff back I don't know what recourse i will have except to take it to arboristsite. It is likely his reputation will be finished there too in that case. I am uniquely positioned ...having so much with him and having a couple subs on youtube and plenty of people that follow me on AS that I have enough of a rep ( i think) that he will be out of business on the boards if I don't get my stuff.

That said, I hope his motivational factor to get me my stuff is pride in his work. This thread doesn't give me much hope of that.

Also, if I lose it all, financially its not THAT much of a hardship. Its annoying for sure.

Personally I think its poor form to post photos without a porters permission. But, then again, if you want to keep secrets, keep the saw. As soon as a saw leaves a porter, the cats out the bag. Said that before.

Personally, I don't mind if people take apart my work.... I need feedback....cause I aint the best :(
Then my man...quit playing the 'justification game' with this turd. You talk out both sides of your mouth or out your mouth and ass at the same time. It's ok for someone to tear down your work because it might be an 'improvement factor' for you and your abilities and future work because as you stated, 'you aint the best.' ...well guess what Chief, neither is this idiot in Mo either.'...but no one can tear down someone elses' chit and try to get them on the right track, or at least make them accountable for absolutely mis-represented work. WTF!!

It's callin' a SPADE, A *f-wordIN' SPADE!!

Matt says buyer beware

That is what is going on in this thread

Letting potential buyers know what kind of trash they are buying

Imadik has spoken and needs coffee
