I have a 3450 that runs pretty good, I gutted the muffler and threw base gasket in trash and it's funny cause most people think it's a pos from lowes till I fire it up and run it.

Both ported, 562 for the win.

Dealer has them here, for about $750... add in a port job and shipping both ways, that comes to about $1100. *f-word that.

I have well under $500 in my ported 357xp and it feels better to me, anyways...

Not true you can buy them for $850 pho ported shipped right from Alan Wolthuis.
and you can't deny how awesome they run, These were some of the very few first cuts on the saw,

I just got a 562xpg at the shop. as well as some 555's, 365, and some other cool saws.

It really is interesting how one saw field different from person to person.
I have seen every modle receive the comments of cheap plastic, toy feeling, cheap. Sure am glad we each have a choice.

They all need to be dirty, then the cheapie plasticky feel goes away, at least for me anyway

I live 20 minutes from Alan, been thinking about dropping my 562 off at his place for awhile. Never felt like it needed anything, but might just do it.

Go for it, stop thinking about it Don. Both your 357s and 562 are well broken in. Comparing them both head to head ported will benefit the entire community. It's necessary research.
