All you people with your fancy-pants new saws! I'll stick with my 1994 262xp I bought new.
That new 262xp in 1994 was not a cheap saw (it was a fancy pants saw). Purchased one in 1991 and ran it over 20 years, great 60cc saw. Strong saws then and strong now. Rebuilt a nice one and sent it to my son, he was upset I sold mine.

the 357,359 saws are just a bloated 346.
that extra ass is all muscle though. Ive got the 2153 and 357 sitting next to each other and the profiles are very similar. Weights a little different but in this saw class, it shouldn't matter. If it does, a fella needs to find another hobby.:coleman:

Randy whats one of the more desirable Poulans in the 50 to 60cc range to have?

It's tough to beat the 3750, or any saw from that series. The one in the video Steven posted has too much compression really. I need to tone it down some. @Stihlbro tried to tell me.....

Not to start the tit vs tat conversation but...

I noticed a couple things running my friends 562 side by side with my 6100... the first is that the 562 has a better feel and balance and will admit that up front... the 6100 however was able to discharge noodles when splitting rounds in 1/2 without getting clogged up under the bar cover... try it... maybe I'm wrong but in oak the 562 jams up when I was running them. Also I'm old school and like to tune a saw without a computer. Lastly, the 6100 is cheaper and it's also only $130 for a new OEM top end if you want to play with grinding on them. I know husky top ends have come down in price so... what's a 562 OEM top end cost?

My 562 came with both the standard chain catcher and the roller chain catcher. Before I took of the standard chain catcher, the saw clogged fairly quickly. With the big dawgs and the roller chain catcher there is less in the way and the saw noodles much better.

Anyone compare a stock 562 to a 359XB? Advantage x-tra bananas?

60-ish cc saws really are quite versatile... whichever brand suits you. Love my 357 and won't be "trading up" to a 562 any time soon.

I haven't run the 6100 but have a share of time running a 6400... I know it's probably not considered to be in the same class as the others but I'm impressed with the pulling power that just doesn't quit. It reminds me of my BG deleted 359 but with more oomph.

Had a conversation with my local Husky/Stihl dealer the other day (GKS) about Dolmar and how it seems to me that they are a great quality saw that hardly anyone knows about. They used to sell Dolmar and he agreed with me on that point.. He said the trouble they had with Dolmar was that they are very difficult to work with on warrantee issues, his words, not mine... From what he said, they were very fussy and turned down alot of warrantee claims that Husky and Stihl would have covered without question. GKS has been in business for a good many years and I believe they have a handle on what they are doing... Just makes me wonder if other dealers who carried Dolmar had the same issue and if Dolmar kind of shot themselves in the foot??

I'm really liking my 576xp lately, real smooth, all kinds of power and just a nice saw to run. Not much heavier than a 372 by feel and faster than a 460.
