That was a problem with the early ones. I heard they have fixed it.

Also the oil pumps tend to lock up and tear the drive gear up. You can it by taking the oil pump apart and deburr/polish things.
Thanks Shaun.

I got the blue bastard in today

Actually I'm impressed with the saw so far has my preferred rubber mounts
For a solid feel.
Great compression
The plastics and fit and finish are far better than the zenoah clones i worked on recently.
Pull rope far too short it's getting true blue 4.5 and a modern husky handle

Oils great
I checked all the fasteners nothing loose or installed incorrectly and greased the clutch bearing.

High tops suck.
Those bar's are 100.00+ now the saw was 176.00
I love mine.

Did they email you with a shipping confirmation, or expected date of arrival? Just curious. Mine could show up anytime after the middle of this month if they are true to their 35-45 day shipping window.
I ordered it on November 24th
And didn't hear anything for about
3 weeks
Then on the farmertec webpage
It showed tracking available
So i copied the tracking number
And went to the ups tracking website and pasted it
And it was in California when it showed up on ups
Then for some damn reason it was 30 miles from me for 3 day's at the ups hub
They have an option you can pick it up there
But I'm working 12 hour shifts
Screw that.

Cool, I’ll log in and see if mine shows up.

@jakethesnake
On the neotec Facebook page they often have customers returned saws
Very cheap
I almost ordered a neotec 395 for 250.00 shipped but i have a holzforma on order
And the 372s were 130.00 shipped
You just have to be willing to work on them
Elaine XU i think is her name posts lists of what's available and you message her.

I took both clutches off to grease the bearings
They were both bone dryIMG_20240124_132826.jpg.IMG_20240124_124635.jpg
It was very difficult to get them off
There was some kind of loctite stuff on both saws
I started to pull the plugs to stick some rope in the cylinder
But they both broke loose.
Both saws started easy and didn't take much tuning.
Once again the g288s pull rope was way to short
Very hard on the wrist pulling it
I'll replace the rope and handle tomorrow.

I had chance to compare views to MS180 crankcases. Chinesium and OEM.
OEM conrod was like piece of steel cut out of 5mm plate, visible marks of cutting process. Chinesium view attached.
Seals were junk though and got replaced after failing during first testing.

Well I received my G372XP two days ago. I installed a 24” bar and chain and made some test cuts and it did well without any tuning adjustments. If anything it’s running fat.. After the test cuts I tossed it onto the back of the skidder to be my backup saw and it unfortunately didn’t last long - about 2 hours before a 4” tree connected with it and broke some stuff..

Although the muffler is dented, it’s completely functional. It’s the side cover and brake parts I’ll need to order. I’ve never worked on a “husky” before so this will be a new adventure. Anything I should know before ordering?
