Quick question here. Friend has one of the blue 372 clones and he busted the fuel tank. Do they sell the blue parts to support those saws? I could stick a used orange tank on it, but it would look goofy. I'll put it on for him, but he'll have to order it.

Could come up with some interesting 2 tone combos now that I'm thinking about it. If you put some white parts from the Carbon Fiber version on an orange saw, it would kinda look like a Stihl. And the carbon fiber top would look better on an orange saw.

OK, not a 372. But Walt gave me this G288 to play with and evaluate. Couple of corrections needed. Minor stuff. Been playing with it, but have yet to compare it to a genuine 288. When the original 181 came out I was about 25 years old. 🙂

Yeah, I much prefer the low top on a 288. But I don't think they have done one. And replacement air filters in this case may only be available from them.

I put a Chinese hyway piston in this beat 288 the other day IMG_20230318_111229362_HDR (1).jpg
Good looking piston I used the oem cylinder good work saw runs as strong as any 288.
I have 2 or 3 oem 288s but I don't run them anymore I always reach for a
ported 70cc saw cut about the same with a 24" without all the extra weight.

I put a Farmertech 066 piston in my China 288 , it pretty much made it a completely different saw.
Had to make a .080 gasket and clearance the piston pin area but I did nothing else to the saw and it's very healthy now.
I have a builder 288 I'll try that.

Edit.
Later in this thread page 9.
i bought four of the chinese 365 saws from china and converted them to 372s.

Here's one of those ebay saws 79.08 shipped they have many names and plastics but identical chassis much lighter than expected ill have to weigh it.
Has a sucky start assist that's the only thing i don't like started third pull 32-1 red armor for the first tank cuts very much like a stihl 028 290 just lighter and more vibes adjustable oiler works good rim sprocket really like the chisel chain ran a tank empty on oak never stretched or dulled Kingpark canada brand hopefully gonna run the pee out of it Saturday firewood for three family's.View attachment 53201 View attachment 53202 View attachment 53203 View attachment 53204 View attachment 53205
I changed the thread title to anything china saw
This was my first china saw back in 2017 the guy I sold it to is still cutting firewood with it he hasn't brought it to me for any repairs
I used it a lot trying it out before I sold it to him.
All those 372s I bought are still running I gave them to family to run I had so many saws setting around.

A couple recent additions to the china fleet, just because I kinda like the color scheme.

Haven't made any sawdust with this one.....

I've never ran a real 260, but this thing has a lot more vibes than my old 026.

I threw a set of rings and seals in a 260 last week

Smooth little saw I'd never run these little saws much
Av was smooth.
I do know some of my china 372s vibrate a lot more than my oem 372s
Noticable but not bad.

Yeah, I thought maybe something's outta balance.....it runs just fine though, so it's probably just poor av rubber.

Rebuilt a 394 today with a hyway popup IMG_20230330_104312711_HDR.jpgIMG_20230330_151252006_HDR~2.jpg
I added a red97 deflector and heat cycled it and was tuning it in wood it was running strong
Until the coil died IMG_20230330_180130025_HDR.jpgIMG_20230330_180146432_HDR.jpg
Trying this in a 372 tomorrow.

Been running the goofy at best blended g372xt and OEM parts as the Chinese parts fail one at a time. BUT while this video was about something else, I do believe the beginning of the end of that saw happened in this video. I've been running it pretty consistently as the weather allows. It's developed a carb inconsistency issue , possibly an air leak. You can hear even though I cut a LOT out to keep the video on subject, the idle started raising even though air temps were. It started stalling again. AND It feels like it has a little less compression....either that or I'm getting stronger. ( Not likely ). BUT after running it for a while THEN jumping back to the 572, the comparison is stark. And you can hear it. Question is....is my g372xt finally at the end? Or when the 572 finally broke in its simply that much better. ( Have to jump past half way to hear the "issues" develop )

That Blue g288 did a fair amount of work. I had Bar oiling issues until I put an OEM pump on it. I left the muffler as delivered and the cylinder too, even is the squish was a bit much just to see if it would function. And it sometimes has carb consistency issues. I'm thinking the intake block / gasket area might need some attention. A base gasket delete might help it snap too. The reason I didn't was I could start it and it worked. Pretty boring in that there was plenty of power, just not enough to brag about. Pretty basic solid saw is what it was. The g395 spoiled it's time for me as it was exciting to run and had power to spare. SO the g288 needed a home where it can just be what it is, now it has one :) Might be interesting to see an OEM top end sit on those cases. The plastic and cases where pretty solid.

Put the 372 together this morning it already had a abc stamped china carb and now the duke's pistonIMG_20230401_095119819_HDR.jpgIMG_20230401_101651270_HDR.jpg
I bought the Amazon 346/372 neotec kit
So far I've rebuilt a 262,272,394,372
With it I had to add a 3/16 t handle for the 2 series and hemostats and a set of needle nose pliers for circlips
It's been handy IMG_20230401_130843424_HDR.jpg
I ran it in on storm damage it's a strong running saw
It runs as strong as this chusky with some work done to the china cylinder and a hyway popup

The Farmertec 361 is the one that caused me the most grief. eventually got a couple running well. The things that I had to do included modifying the tank vent, piercing a hole thru it. And using an OEM cylinder base gasket WITH 1184 both sides as it was tough to keep the cylinder/case flange sealed. And the fuel line too. had junk or rubber stuff from the manufacturing process blocking the flow of fuel. That was the one that took the longest to figure out and once I did and just replaced all the rubber with OEM.....they run fine. :) And the is contrasted by the big g888 which other than a few loose screws, one being a case screw; ran beautifully right out of the box. Even though I can't really use it as its too big, I do periodically pull it out and start it. Funny thing is, that saw is one of the easiest to start of all the blue saws. Might have a video around somewhere from last year when I fired it up.
