Some bar issue. Do you have any idea what happened? Always enough oil available. Can I continue to use it?

I just started reading this thread last week. Lots of great info on 372's. I personally have a 1998 365 that I put a XPW top end on and upgraded to the Walbro soon after I got it. I had this carb in the junk box. Obviously it's getting worked over and put back in service.

I just found the China carb jackpot, 390 carb. https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/sJ7OFaac

Twin jet, and all the good *s-word. To use it just take the throttle cam off a China 372 carb, flip the choke arm on the shaft, get a 372xt air filter adapter, 65mm long M4 screws, and a longer impulse line. Also you can press the main nozzle out and easily bore it to 3/4" (19mm).

You must've bought them all.
How's it working out?

I just grabbed the required screws today, maybe I'll have time to work on it after work tomorrow.

Appears to be poor quality heat treatment.
The edge will likely chip off.
They've been good about returning bad parts here.
Don't know about Germany though.
Are better quality bar's available there?
Tsumura sugihara Oregon cannon.
And of course you can use an adaptor
To use stihl bar's.

Well see if they have tuning issues since it seems since people don't even like how the oem ones run. It's crazy how fast this stuff is progressing though. I ordered the 390 carb like a month ago because I couldn't find a China copy of the xt carb anywhere and I wasn't about to put a $98 oem carb on a $300 saw.

That is one crappy bar, I'd ditch it and get a decent bar. Nothing expensive, unless you want a lightweight bar, but something that will hold up.

I don't know what happened, but when I posted the carb picture everything went to sh!t.

Anyway, I've never seen the inside of one of those carbs before, bloody interesting! It looks like there are multiple jets to mod. Crikey, I may get one just to check it out.

The threaded one on the left, I don't even know at that does, The high needle is fed by a small hole in the casting, maybe it goes straight to the high nozzle. One of the brass jets feeds the L needle and the other just dumps into the venturi.

Looks like I'm going to have to get one of those carbs, it is just too interesting to not have one to explore.

So the 390 China carb with the bore drilled out to 3/4" seems to work well. Easy to tune in. I really only gained 500rpm piss reving but the throttle response is like lightning and the mid range dead spot I had with the 372xp China carb is gone. I ended up with 2 turns out on L and 1.25 turns out on H. I think there's more gains in this carb with larger throttle and choke blades and a better air filter adapter since they're the same size as the 372xp carb. I might take down a tree this weekend to see how it goes in the wood.
