I Checked into that recently, and I found very few PARTS were cheaper overall, but in the long run if I wanted a few parts and kits or whole saws and such from them, their website was cheaper even with their fixed per item shipping.

Part of the problem is that not everyone wants that AM filter that comes with it. (I don't)

The package idea might be good for some folks. But I think there's a broader market for the cover by itself.

I agree. If your saw has the low top filter and cover, the kit is a nice idea, but if you have a high top with a cracked or worn out cover, you may not want the filter and you certainly don't need the intake.

May I ask why? Are the AM filters not recommended?

They are fine for most of what we do as hobby or firewood guys. But I wouldn't put them out there on a saw that a pro guy would run all day. It's probably not a good idea to have them around the shop at all here cause you never know where they'd end up.

With the filter cover there are no concerns performance or reliability wise. If it fits it works.

I see assembled model 372 clones for sale for about $365, no bar and chain. Is that what these sell for? The ones with the name "Husqvarna" is misspelled on side. I am interested in a bigger clone like this, just wondering what they should cost. It seems I have seen talk of them being much less costly.

You can get the assembled powerheads from China for $250 or less from Huztl with free shipping. The prices can be different day to day. I have seen the 372 clone for as low as about $220, with the "normal" sale price being $251.

Huztl has them on their never ending sale again

I prefer the other one's with the jacked up lettering.
They seem better built
They are made with different manufacturers parts.
Those 372 were 220.00 shipped the last time i bought some.
They seem to have went up in price.

What does 'jacked up lettering' mean?

I bought my normal 372 without G here in Germany for 249 Euro. But...Bosch spark. Already run. Carb set up quite good. Put in the BigBore and up to now no change in the carb 13200 smooth running. [emoji51]

Almost the same then.
Husky or Stihl. Puh. The bigger ones close to 800-900 Euro. The real big ones 14-1500.

@afleetcommand
I bet the xt your testing is made by the same company
As my fully built 365 and 2 372 oe
The tanks had vent hoses not the pucks.
And the cases were different than the huztl.
I prefer these over the huztls.
I like
The squarish handles myself.

I like the Huztl handles better but the cases off those saws better than the other AM cases. I did get a "test" saw back today after 8 months with a logger running it as the primary saw. He thought it was going lean...high idle..and with his OEM XT's that would mean the PTO bearing and seals. SO expecting the worst..started the "debug" process. Turns out like a few of my 372XT/OE blends the throttle cable was a bit short. And kept it from closing....filed on that little white throttle cable connector a bit and problem solved. Why is this relevant? Cases...Huztl. Top end 52mm Hyway popup. And full time use didn't kill the hard parts. That's significant. :) Case a way to salvage OEM XT junkers? Blend with OE boot and hyway top end? AND a way to take any of those pre-built 372's from Huztl to the "next" level of performance w/o a machine shop..:)
