Half of the 372's, plus some others. The one in front that's missing everything has an OK top and bottom end.

He ran some big Jonny's when he was younger. Four 910's and four 920's; two with heated handles. These and the Huskys above were out of the first storage trailer. There's 2 more that haven't been opened yet.

Shot of the dead saw/ project pile. There's another wall of boxed stuff.

That a 266?20190710_184715.jpgmy ported 266s lose nothing against my ported 372s
Wearing a 24"
My favorite saws
A bit lighter and more nimble imho
I can cut all day with them
And they aren't the loud high strung screamers the 371/372s are.

That's actually a 288 there in the back of the pile. But I agree with you on everything you said about the 266's! I don't know, (or care), what the scale says but they do feel closer to a 60cc class saw than a 70cc class saw to me. Got 2 SE's and 2 XP's. Plus a red one I made out of a Jonny 630. Call it the Jonsered 636. :)

I actually run that red one a lot. Do you do anything to the mufflers? I'll mess with the stock opening but I don't hack these things up cause there's no decent mufflers out there for these saws that I know of. Plus in general, I'm moving away from "loud" when I'm just trying to get some work done.

I've been running @Red97 deflectors lately
I can honestly cut without hearing protection.
They direct the noise away much
Better than the oem style did.
I use am mufflers mainly same story here
They gettin' rare especially the smaller 266 mufflers.20190714_175105.jpg 20190714_084722.jpgi did match the muffler exhaust port to the new
Deflector opening
Huge gain and actually quieter than the
Stupid factory burn your clutch cover version.
On this 266 it's a very nice saw
With a dented muffler.

Sold pretty good here. Guys liked running them, but you couldn't keep them in the woods. The unofficial "correction" to the bottom end problem was a rebuild with 2 case gaskets. The silver lining though was that it forced them to bring back the original 372 for a while, and then update it to the XT version. So we got all those extra years of 372's cause the 575 was a mess. :)

The bad vibe from that saw hurt the rep of the 576, which was a shame. The 576 was a really good saw that never caught on.
There's one local tree service here that really likes the 576. I've never actually layed hands on one, just spoke with the guy at the local dealer and bought a blown 390 of theirs. Someday I'll come across a basket case to play around with.

Sorry for your loss.
hadn't heard from you for awhile
Thought you were just busy.
I hope everything works out
And you get out of the hospital soon.

I've only seen a couple guy's here with the 576s
They are slow to jump on the latest and greatest craze.
They buy what they have carcasses and
Parts for.
Until they stop making like the 372/390/394/395
The loggers have plenty of busted up
Or worn out saws to rob parts from.
Don't guess the 575/576 had a chance to get a rep.
We really don't have a chainsaw shop anymore
Especially for husqvarna
The local feed store has a dusty 372 and home owners huskys.
They'll swap a carb and fuel line's
That's about it.
I don't see a 572 selling well
No where to ever get it serviced locally.

I used a narrow one to clear the case.
20190821_095252_HDR.jpgI've only got the chicken wire type mesh
Need to get some finer stuff.
Deflector works great no muffs needed
Just like the 2166 you did.
Gonna do my other zoo city 372 next.

Lame effort here on my part, I know. But on this one I just folded back that interior piece and then put the deflector back on. Noticed a difference though.

Just had to get this up and running for a guy. That's a 272 top end sitting there. It does fit under the gray-orange cover fine, just not bolted down in the pic.

Yup that's why I like them. I don't mess with the stock opening at all. #20 mesh is what I use.
