Hope everything goes well for them. Saw in the paper the other day that our local hospital had taken several pts from Florida this week in hopes to empty the hospitals out. They are saying we will probably get sustained winds of 30-40 mph and then gusts up to 60 even in northeast Alabama. As wet as it has been this summer for us I’m expecting to see some trees. I already see several down after each storm which are usually 30-40 mpg gusts not sustained.

Thank you my brother is a retired 40+ year logger and mp in the army before that.
He's as much worried about looters as the storm.
That scum pops up after disasters everywhere.
They'll have a bad day if they cross him lol
Is the 590 you're only saw.

I can imagine they would! I have a husqvarna 51 but something is up with the Oiler so it’s down right now. It leaks like crazy until the tank is empty and after it’s warm the chain stops very quickly so I’m not running it until I can look into it some more. May be looking for a little limber soon though just not really sure what I would want next with having a 50 and a 60cc class.

51s are cake to fix take the clutch off clean everything thoroughly.
And it's best to replace the rubber tube and seals.
But some guy's use oil resistant silicone and seal it up.
Good saw's. IMG_2425.JPG

Thanks! I think I might have tuned it once without any bar oil . I was hoping I didn’t mess anything up but when I noticed it leaked the whole tank of bad oil even after trying to relieve the pressure several times I figured I needed a new oil pump lol.

Stumpshot cut excellent popups in 268 for the 50mm and 272 for the 52mm big bores for me.
They are great pistons I've used dozens in customers saw's.
All different makes no issue's i always cut most of the g off the circlips.

Hi rich how are you.
The huztl 272 are windowed do you remember if the oem were?
I swear i can't remember the last oem i bought it's been meteor for over 10 year's then as the am improved it was golf tecomec espian and now these huztls and other china pistons have been good to me.
Not 100% on one ring pistons with the china rings i had one wear out fast in the 268.
double ring yes good for mine.

Tommorow i will put a 272 in i haven't tried the windowed in those.
I'm leaving one 50 and one 52 regular 372 double just to compare for now.
Really like the 268 though lol
It's a handful cutting with it.
It's a high revver.

Those 272 pistons are made the same as the originals(windowed), was the only way they came that I know of. Glad to see you're up and about working on some saws. :)

Thanks steve i ain't lazy just hobbled lol
268 did great if at all possible i will try to drop a big maple Tommorow.
Can't wait to try the 272 in the big bore.
Might be to much flow?
Don't know haven't talked to anyone that has used them in a 372.
I do like a 272 though.

Dave, I windowed a 372 BB a while back and it had more torque and all the carituristics and upper rpm' too!!
I've still gotta do the 268 piston for mine....you really got me wanting to try that!!

Can't wait to try the 272 in the big bore.

The windows on the piston won't do anything as they will be above the bottom of the cylinder at BDC. However, the area under the wrist pin looks a LOT better for flow on a big bore. I trim the bottom of the BB piston and then put in a couple of small windows that will be exposed at BDC. The 272 piston doesn't look like it needs any mods to get it to flow.

When you put it together, a couple of pictures of the different pistons at BDC would be appreciated.

No problem.
It's looking even better for the big bores now.
The powers good with them but for some reason the vibrations are much more noticeable.
Maybe these lighter piston will cancel that out.
268/372 smooth runner.

Interesting....I wonder what the weight difference is and if enough could be removed to get it closer to the 268 piston to smooth it out.
Dang.... couple more things on my order list!! Lol

Not uncomfortable but definitely noticeable going from a 50 to 52mm saw.
The 50mm 372 are fine just the big bore.
Shakes the top cover loose after a while.
I just buy those ft pistons from huztl 2.93 plus ship good pistons.
