Of interest here. My kit has the cast in flywheel..... it starts nice and idles but will NOT take throttle. I ground the key off and chased the timing from -30 to + 30 but still couldn't get it to take throttle.
First thing I did after initial start with the AM carb was put on a stock Zama...no change. I've checked fuel line, filter, changed the impulse line, checked to see in it was clear(it was). My only thoughts on it now would be the coil....just haven't truer a new one yet.
FRUSTRATING!!!!

yeah, thats kinda where I'm at. it just had no power or response. the idle is cranked all the way up, and low jet to match and the response is better, but not great. I guess I won't mess with the flywheel first... first I'll change the coil and see what happens.

Dead ash is filthy it really cakes a saw up i use this cheap foaming shower cleaner on the saws it pulls the filth out of these filters too then hose off
Even these cheap filters do a good job no residue in the intake.20170510_195320.jpg 20170510_195537.jpg 20170510_195934.jpg

Nope, no tank yet but they finally answered. They will include one on my next order.....
I really hope it's the coil... it acts like it's timing related. It was interesting that Mattyo is having similar issues and had the cast in key in the flywheel. Thoughts of it being the culprit to but, I threw all kinda timing changes at it an the same other than when I got to the far ends where I was either getting flamed out the muffler of the carb... but it would start and idle...,

Good news cable to long or not in it's recess.

Looked lie the aluminum ferral was crimmed to close to the end. I just made a circle out of small thin wire and crimped it below....wot now.
I threw an epoxy repair on the tank so maybe I can run it this weekend. The carb that came seemed ok...it (saw) really likes fuel. I had to riches the H up so it would run right. It was bogging.just as it transitioned to the H jet. Plenty rich and at 13,6k. I want to get it some wood! Have a modded carb just like it and I'll try a stock Zama also. The Zama was on it after the coil change and was very crisp but seemed to be lacking on top. Will need to check that out then try a modded Zama.

Bought some of the huztl 2.93 268 pistons here's some pics 268 pistons taller because of pin location and also shorter.20170512_172521.jpg 20170512_172817.jpg
i'm going to make a pop up and see what kind of compression it ends up with and how it runs with the port timing changed so much.
It's odd the single ring 268 and 365 pistons have the short wristpin and the 372 50 and 52 have the long ones the 268 pistons feel lighter and i like the single ring pistons better.20170512_172603.jpg 20170512_174113.jpg

Tore down the saw with the most use the first one the 50mm .
i still run it rich it takes a beating the red armor coats everything and the residue is like grease it just wipes off the piston and exhaust port the huztl plating is fine no chips someone asked me to check.
And the husky's back and brought the missing puppy.1494627067444-941630782.jpg 20170512_171452.jpg 20170512_165406.jpg 20170512_164406.jpg 20170512_164505.jpg

Swapped the coil on my saw to a used oem coil. That coil was bad. Swapped again....am coil. I think it's better. It doesn't feel amazing by any account...but it does start and run and tune. Seems to tune easier than with the original am coil. I'll try to put some hours on it and report back.

All four came like that I'm changing them all.
They must have overtightened them the lines are pretty flexible.
Sounds like they know their line splits at the filter, so they clamp them now. I always put a tiny zip tie on them because they're prone to splitting
