Was it at a corner where people would hang yard sale signs? Got a few trees that basically have metal for bark around here that people do that to. Wouldn't touch them with any of my saws.

When those were put in there was three family's on this ridge very remote there was no.
no tresspassing signs back then just odd and they were completely around the tree so it wasn't a sign.

Those saws are getting a workout with that hard stuff!!
You say there hard to start???? Think from compression or carb? Around here Huskys have never known to start good...minimum 5 pull compared to Stihl 3.

Funny what you find in trees.... glad you didn't dead center them.... I woulda!!! Lol

Compression feels more like 180-190 i know they aren't but they are a handful in these saws they are just a little over 19 pounds lol
I just have an old comp gauge
Usually 4 to fire and five it's running my 288s are about the same these carbs actually perform great at low and mid range they just lose it on long cut's hopefully you guy's figure out a solution.
I happened to see the nails and cut around them.
I've hit many electric fence insulators in my day lol

Well that sucks the least they could do is give you a pup for looking after them.
I don't know them.
i had a neighbor watch them while i was working they picked them up i never met the owners.
I'm amazed the mother remembered me it was month's ago just that one time i fed her and she came back.
She can open my front door i found out lol

Put another half gallon through saw 1 the all chinese 50mm.

I did some splitting too choke rods a little loose pops out of position just have to heat it and tighten it up 20170507_183416.jpg 20170507_174617.jpg that's it nothing else wrong.

Ash is hard to judge sometimes it will snap and pull up to 8 inches of holding wood other times you nearly cut the heart in half to get it to fall.
I was able to swing this one diagonal across a road to block it up without having to climb over the hill .
