I have heard that the space for the small end of the rod is a bit wide on some A M 268 pistons, I have been looking for an unwindowed piston like the one you showed, where did you get them if I may ask.
Huztl.net the website is much cheaper than the same stuff on ebay for some reason.
2.93 plus shipping.

Hope to accomplish it all tomorrow. I have a modded AM carb like what came with the saw and want to try that. I also have a stock Zama C3M and I need to look if I have a smaller modded one to try also. It will be interesting to see what/if there are any differences.

Rich, I'm running a 35/35/55 on my 77cc big bore. I also did up a friend's big bore with a Zama drilled the same. No problems, good idle, acceleration and low end torque. Probably what you have come up with for a stock Dolmar 7900 should be in the ball park.

EDIT: Interesting about the fuel line. I'm still running the Chinese fuel line that came on the saw (5-6 years old). Probably a different supplier that 'undercut' the costs of the previous supplier. Jeez, how many pennies did they save with that stupid decision.

If the seller for these saws was to monitor this thread, he could learn a Hell of a lot. Not only would he ditch the provider of the fuel lines, he'd probably provide a decent two port muffler, a 77cc big bore and a drilled Zama. Fork me, he wouldn't be able to produce them fast enough once the word got around. A strong 77cc saw for less than $250.
