That's good to know....time will tell and it sounds like it will do good!!
The only reason i'm sticking with this platform is.That's good to know....time will tell and it sounds like it will do good!!
Well that's disappointing is that the 50mmTogether and running. It has no power though.
Ported...intake and exhaust matched. Base gasket delete still only got me down to .036 squish. Pressure and vac good. .
.. but comp at 120 only .
It runs and idles...just doesn't have much power in the wood.

My 50mm huztl and 50mm mahle are pretty close in power.Yeah....they both had high squish to start. I worked thay cylinder pretty good. Reasonable nice port work ...but I'm just getting very little power. I'm tempted to swap carbs ....
I'm glad i just bought the assembled and tested saws. Was putting mine together last night and ran inot a couple problems.
First I can't get enough clearance on the coil to flywheel....not a big issue.
Second issue was broken tank around the fuel ca area.
Checked squish on the 50mm p/c and it was .025 with no gasket. I plan on cutting it by at least .005 to get it to .020. I have the cylinder laid out to port.
Been thing about that carb and have a couple ideas, will have to check to see if my thinking is right. I'll use what I learned that doesn't work.
I will take the 2 50mm next time I'm going to drop and block.Ya, me too!! That's really interesting the two cylinders are close in power!! You've confirmed they run good and make good power!! I watch and listen to the youtube videos and an impressed...especially for what they cost!! If they can be improved in little ways there well worth it!!! Besides....there fun!!
That sucks if you have to wait on a handle to test it.View attachment 68104 View attachment 68105
Well, cut the base....I got greedy and cut .008 to bring it down to .017 squish. Ported pretty good, just knife edged the lowers and blended as the transfers were really good. Intake and exhaust were clean also but exhaust seemed small. I widened it but I left some meat for future if need be. I raised it pretty good. On the intake I matched the boot and again widened leaving more for future. Raised transfers also. Didn't do any cutting on the squish band as it was clean to the edge and nice and flat.
Put stock carb that came with the saw to run that first. Added another port on the muffle to help it breath.
Glad I had a lot of extra husky bolts of assorted sizes to fill in where they omitted. I'm getting this saw was packed the last hour before a HOLIDAY.
