You can run husqvarna d009 bars on the 590s just drop 1 link 71dl for 20s many of the 18 inch chains worked without changing dl counts.
The oil hole's line up perfect just a little loose over 4 year's with a 24 on mine.

You can make your own with a bar thick piece of flat metal just bend an s shape the small amount of play is taken up.
I don't do this because it's minimal vertical play .
I just hold the bar up when tensioning.

The 18s like i say will normally work but your almost out of adjustment best to drop one link.

I'm poor i have jibbered with all makes of bars and chains.

Been thinking about getting that chain breaker at harbor freight if I could save money by being able to get cheaper husqvarna chain lengths it may be worth it.

They also are about $10 more for 4 chains so I guess if you figure over the long run that chain breaker may would save some money. I think they are around $50 at harbor freight.

I misspoke....the cylinder is a 50mm not a closed port 48...intresting.
Terry, I do have some carbs I want to try on it just to see what difference there will be. This whole build our own saw has really appealed to me and I wanted to get on board, Czed has really done a GREAT job with his in great detail. I've been playing with a ported Husky 365 and the single jet carb like comes with this kit saw and have found it's running out of fuel on longer cuts like bucking 20 inch logs or bigger. So reading this thread and with a combination with the 365 my interest has really stirred. I think there is a LOT more in these saws than whats been showed so far. I think the carb is the major issue as you have mentioned Terry from what you've done with your saw.
If you come up with another solution to these carbs let me know.
I've found the same thing great for small to midsize wood starves out in big wood.
Still had enough fuel to catch the hickory on fire when i was blocking really suprised the old fella i was cutting for lol

You might want to try another fuel filter. I eventually had to change mine out because it was starving the carb for fuel. However, I had used the filter for years without problems.

EDIT: Hang on, the very first problem I had with my Chinese saw was the bloody tank vent. It was leaning out the carb on a long cut. I put on one of those green vented tank caps to check it and the problem went away. So I gutted the Chinese vent and stuffed it full of steel wool, the filter button got a hole drilled in it and I put a couple of layers small mess screen over it. It is a fully vented tank now. I have to get the tank cap on quick as the fuel will start dripping out the vent, which ensures that the tank vent gets properly cleaned every time I fill up!

Brad Snelling worked out a fix for tank vents on some husqvarna saws he re routed the tank vent to beside the carb and used an echo tank vent I believe? I'll have to find it when I get a change I think it was in the what's on your bench thread

I think the problem with the tank vent was the filter pill. You could probably just replace the pill with an OEM part. I decided I wanted a fully vented tank as I don't have to worry about pressure building up behind the 'duck bill' valve.

I've had a few husky one's come in and had vent issue's so oem sometimes fails too no problem these are some of the easiest saws i work on and the 2 series husky's of course.

Czed, I sure will keep you and everyone else in the loop on these carbs if I get anything figured out.... I think I have like 16 of them to play with.
I did get them to work on Dolmars but couldn't change them to another saw (slightly different mods and specs) and run the same. I kinda put them aside after that and not being consistent from one saw to the next. The one thing Terry hit on was a spring change that helped. I found that true also.
The carb is one of the main reasons I purchased this saw, so I could try some things, along with liking this model.
You can be sure I'll put a Zara on it and try a modded Walbro off a Solo also!

Thank's man.
i will do the same if any problems pop up.
I've been running the first built saw as often as i can.
that 70ft hickory it felled limbed and blocked pretty much wfo
Never a hickup in all the tree's i cut with it the carb is the only limiting factor .
i appreciate your input.
That old fella i cut for always ask's me how that saw hold's together screaming like that lol
