Thanks I've been playing around with different design's for years i will try that these mufflers are just 3.80 a piece lol I've got a few extra. You mentioned you don't like loud mufflers. Here's a trick you can use on those mufflers with the bolt tubes through them - turn them into outlets.
DO NOT stick a grinder through the exhaust port hole and grind a hole in the side of the tubes. That will allow the exhaust to blow straight out the bolt tube. The best way takes a bit more work, but allows a quiet muffler - you drill in from the side of the muffler with a drill bit the size of your Dremel bit. Then drill a hole in the side of the tube AWAY from the exhaust port. Then open up the hole in the tube. The easiest way is to shine a light from the opposite end of the tube while you work the Dremel bit. You can watch the bit as you open up an elongated slot in the tube. Then put a weld or braze over the drill hole on the side of the muffler.
You could do one muffler with that mod and compare it to one of your dual ports and check both the sound and power output to see if the mod was worth doing to the other saws.
They really make you guy's suffer it's ridiculous what stuff cost there i know it's not a 6100 but these are rebranded dolmars 329.99 free ship amazon in the us a hell of a deal maruyama mcv51 i think it's called.$3.80 for a muffler... I'd probably pay more than that for a freaking muffler BOLT.
Gawd, the price of saws and parts in Oz is so over the top. I mentioned how I was looking at getting a Makita 6100, except they want A$1,200 for one, plus a goods and service tax of 10% on top of that. - A Husky 562 is A$1,700 plus tax...
Thanks for the advice. You mentioned you don't like loud mufflers. Here's a trick you can use on those mufflers with the bolt tubes through them - turn them into outlets.

The guy i sold the king park to has run two gallons through it he brags on it all the time lolIs there a chance that you could get a long term update in the future on the kingpark saw you sold?
Top of my fence post i know it looks odd lolIs that something funny in the exhaust port? Kinda in the bottom right corner. Maybe just a reflection
I've only used a few hyway rings and one maybe two stihl cylinder kits never had a issue they usually had 150 comp and they haven't been brought back by customer'sAre you seeing any tension issues with the hyway rings.
