Looks like I spoke too soon. After sorting through a bunch of butchered up carbs, I couldn't put a carb together, then I remembered I had sent a working carb to a bloke in Oz for his new Chinese saw.

You may be able to get a modded carb to try from Poleman, although I understand he's having trouble getting the twin jet carbs to mod. I'll send him a PM and see what he's got.
Don't worry about it i somehow forgot about a new oem 371 cylinder kit i had bought when they were pricey i must have put it on a customers saw over the year's when i can i will work on these or huztl carbs to see if i can improve them.

Started cutting this morning dead ash it's hard on the chains and saws cutting hickory to let it season this year my neighbor bought me a new 20 inch bar i thought that was nice of him for cutting tree's off his fences he has had a lot of damage.
I put one gallon and one tank through the big bore today it really impressed me with the torgue might have to put a compression release on it it's a handful to start.20170401_133928.jpg

Unfortunatry not that I've found yet. The only other carb I've found that mods well is the Walbro off a Solo 665, it's different than the other HD Walbros making it a one off also.

The big bore huztl is the way to go it has noticeably more power and torque than the 50 mm a woods port helped both cylinders but if you don't grind on saws i would just get the big bore.
I could get more power by opening the exhaust more but i won't i don't need ear plugs with my dual port and it has given good gains and i hate loud annoying saws.

I know some guy's are building these out of kits i can't wait to see what they come up with I've been letting guy's run mine and they have been impressed I've only got one issue with the big bore saw if you look at the chainbrake it will trip lol i will adjust it but it was handy today i tripped it on purpose when i was getting close to fence or nails.

All carburetors can be modded, it was just that the twin jet was so easy. Everything was laid out in front of you to drill. Some of these other carbs may require blocking circuits, drilling access holes, etc.

As far as another carb to mod, I would find one that has an auxiliary low speed jet. You can then drill that jet to bump up the low speed circuit flow. That is a lot easier than trying to figure out transition hole sizes and metering springs.

Those carbs with the auxiliary low speed jet are fairly common, I have one (HD-5) on my old 029 that I modded. There is likely a similar one that has been built to go on the 365/372 series.

Are you still running the stock pin and bearing? Is the plating in the jug wearing ok?

Very good. Sometimes I think switching to capers is not a good thing for these cheap jugs. I am in the camp of cheap jug cheap rings.

I'm no authority on the chinese rings I've done over two dozen saws with chinese rings never got one back some people run their saws alot more than me and never had to work on those again
I don't have a problem running them.

I've ran a ton of cheap rings over the years from cars to saws never a single issue. They seat much faster then caber rings. Never noticed a loss of comp either.
