Are the holzfforma blue 660s the same internally as their orange and dark gray ones? I know the black and white is supposed to be pro but wasn't sure about the orange/gray . I was thinking about bidding on one is why I was asking. Thanks.

I believe that the orange, blue, and orange/gray, or orange/white saws are all currently using the same internals, carbs and ignitions. Again, I'm talking current production. Earlier saws in the standard Husky and Stihl colors are likely different, as they have made improvements and chosen some different suppliers over the last couple years.

I started the Farmmac and got the low tuned and when I went to tune the high I would give it throttle and it would abruptly shut off, at first I thought I hung a ring. Each time I would throttle it up it would shut down so I got my tach and did it a few times and it happened every time around 12,600 RPM so I'm thinking this coil is crap. I think I have another coil somewhere to try.

I found an xtorq coil and put that on it, that cured the saw cutting off but it wouldn't rev past 12,750 RPM so I changed the carb, still wouldn't rev. The only other thing I could think of is the timing so I checked that and it was retarded about half a key, i didn't use the key and when I tightened the flywheel is must have slipped. I advanced it with .020 off the key and it revs like it should. I have an unlimited $10 coil off Amazon on the way.

The neotec touts the farmac as their premium offering
That's a *f-wording lie as far as the 372s go
Yea, they are low quality just like most of the Chinese saw stuff. I don't mind because I knew what I was getting. I feel for the for the average firewood guys that get these saws thinking they are getting a deal just to have them break down a few tanks later.

Finally had some time to pull the jug on the black Friday blue g288.
Glancing in from the muffler at first, didn't seem too bad, I was hopeful. But that hope was short lived.
Squish with gasket was .039, compression cold was only 135.
