I had a brake flag off my jonny 625/272 project.
I emailed farmertech to send me another, so that'll be 45 emails and 2 months but should eventually get it replaced.
I used an OEM air filter mount and one of the Dukes low tops. 20240214_052406.jpg20240214_052354.jpg as always the fuel caps leaked and I replaced the decomp.

I might keep the half wrap handle on this one and explore the spring mount anti-vibe conversion I've read about. Apparently the rubber bumpers can be replaced with a spring set up?

That company's web page is crazy , reminds me of pictures Walmart had 25yrs ago! Happy faces!
They must be doing something right they've been in business over 20 year's making
All kinds of saws i know they make 61/262/268/272/660/070s
They may make the 288s and 395s just guessing because the g272 hardware and build quality looks very much like the g288 and g395
Another big company is EMAS I never was able to buy any of their saws either.
I want one of these hus262s i think they might be very successful here.Screenshot_2024-02-14-10-00-30-740.jpgCraftop-Professional-Chainsaw-6200.jpg

I will NEVER use FedEx for any shipping if I can help it. They left my laptop delivered in the middle of my gravel driveway down by the road for anyone to steal or me to run over driving in. Not the only run in i have had with Fed EXXXX.

Yesterday I got my saws I ordered on new years eve.
Missing one saw and no info as to why, I just sent chow mien an email so hopefully they figure it out.

The starter on the 288 is bound up inside and won't retract, will dig into that when I get time.

Other than the oil pump on the 395, is there anything else I need to examine before running these fine counterfeit machines?

I’m not saying it’s the right way but I just checked all the exposed fasteners on my 288 put an oem filter and 8 pin on it and ran it, tuned it and broke it in. Probably put over a gallon through it working up some big hard maples last Saturday.
The decomps they give you look suspect to me atleast

I only had to grease the clutch bearings and unless you're a little person with short arms
The pull rope was much too short.

How do I determine if mine has that issue?
It should have almost no perceptual movement between the intake and exhaust skirts.
My hearing isn't that great(surprise!), but if you pop the muffler off you might be able to push on the piston to check.
I had plans to take mine apart anyway, so I checked it with the cylinder and piston in hand.
I dropped a hyway piston in it and it was perfect.
You could probably run it for a while sloppy, its just gonna wear out in about half the time.
