Ok, here it is....

Pretty much a flop....

Going to have to redeem myself.
At least I was close with the powerband numbers. I wouldn’t be hard on yourself and call it a flop sir. Put a 60” bar on that and the hybrid and see what one pulls it better.... even though the numbers are close they only tell one side of the story.

If that bar would fit the hybrid powerhead, I would try it.

The cutters were almost getting into the 395 case/cover.

Other than the stress from the weight/maxed av on the hybrid.

If in a bucking cut and not getting pulled down below 7k rpm don't see how the hybrid loses?

Really want to see a stock 94&95 now. The before and after porting w/ mine felt pretty significant. I'd guess more than 1(ish) horse gain but that's ultimately a guess.

Me too. I have a stock one coming in. Plan to redeem myself on that...

I did run a hooray 288xp and it did just as well in the hp department as this 395.

Sure has me scratching my head...

I have a 066 here that is supposed to be strong. Don't know what if anything is done to it. Maybe it is one of those good ones ?

More questions than answers at times.

Do you put a fresh plug in when you dyno? I had a interesting experience with my banshee on the dyno, long story short the old plugs were work 10hp when switching to new, and after a handful of passes on the dyno the new plugs lost 5 hp new ones restored the 5 hp. It was 10% just in plugs!

No, just test them as is, where people normally tune them.

That will be something to look at if I have one just drop off for no other reason.

Tried to set max rpm the same each run, or where they seem to tune best.

Not seen what one leaned way out does.

I figure even if it makes more power way lean, is it worth it to only make 1 or 2 cuts?

Try putting a fresh plug-Compared to a well used plug, just to see what happens? It might be interesting. When I was testing my banshee on the Dino, I was pretty happy with the numbers and I figured I would try leaning it out a hair on the Dino, drop the needle one clip and drop the Main one size and it sounded really good but lost 20 hp! Moved everything back to where it was 20 hp restored! My stuff always made more power a little rich, A little fatter than what sounded good always better, more power

So you want to add back in the variable of the wood to see which one is stronger?:D
