The new system, and graphs allow me to do as above and lay the graphs on top of each other. Gives a very good look at the power.
That's awesome.
The little echo is pushing the low end of what the system can measure. A fly lands on the torque arm and can blow the HP 5% at that little power!
Damn flies..

Do you want me to send a couple of mine back down that you already tested to compare results?

Maybe after new years...

I've got about 6k+ lbs worth of wire to put into this frame starting next month...

Figure it will be 2021 before messing with the dyno much more...

I'm not even going to take a guess. What the heck is that chunk of steel? Was it cut like that intentionally? You are a better man than I. About 4hr on the tig bench, prob 8hr on a mig and 30min on a stick is all about I can handle.

Frame of a 3500 ton forge press. Looks like this all together.

Cutting the cracks/ old bolt holes out. Weld it solid while it is heated. Fix the cracks, fill the holes, and add 1.5" to the bed.

I thought you got out of that bizz?

For a little bit, looked like these projects were about done. Well a few more appeared. Time to saddle back up...

Going to look through the apartment handbook. See what is says about running engines all day in the garage? Apartment garage has plenty of room for the dyno....

Sent tech support a summary of the runs.
He seen something was a bit off, wanted me to try a different hose arrangement.

Was thinking the large hose was acting like a lever and changing the true readings.

Built an arm to support the hoses, and brought the 2 straight out, and the 3rd as short as I could. Should have almost zero influence on the reading now.

That is why I have been including a "baseline" run that matches the old system with most all of these new tests. I'm not ready to claim the hp number is accurate just yet.

Really hoping I can keep the numbers in the ball park.
