Both saws looked good to me! I have at least 1 saw I'd like to have Dino'd its too bad USPS sucks so bad right now!

I hear you, really pisses me off a week late already. The one I sent to TN the same day arrived Monday.
For us, the Detroit hub has been the problem. We were actually discussing it yesterday. When I get things shipped to the lake house they pass through Grand Rapids. The results up there have been much better.

John ups has been good and comparable to usps for prices.

I'd say to anyone thinking about sending Joe a saw... just do it!

UPS and FEDEX has been as reliable as ever around here. During the height of the paranoia my fedex shipments MIGHT have been a day later. Never enough that I took notice.

Sadly USPS remains the best option for crossing the border.

I didn't see where Joe posted this one. ~40% gains from advertised stock hp but more important is a MUCH more usable powerband now. 20" 8 pin square chain pulled it down a little more than I'm used to on these, but it threw chips all over and kept going. Great job @huskihl

Just under 6.5 hp from 56.5cc and a nice tq curve! Awesome work Kevin. :ARMS1:

One thing I learned today is that if fanboys on either side are triggered in any way by this thread they have bigger worries. If these graphs and numbers give you a boner you should probably just set the powerhead back on the shelf.

Don't tell me how to trigger my boner bub!

I bet you are correct.

Hard to get it out of your head just cause it's holding at a high rpm, that isn't really where peak power is.

Some watching a video may think the extra 2k pull down is a bog? And not even pay attention to the cut times.

Once Tim shows up tomorrow he will figure it all out for us.

@cuinrearview
I think these comments are key. Many times what feels/sounds fast is actually slower in the cut.

Did Tim figure it all out lol.

thats a ridiculous comparison honestly, who wouldnt rather use a great modern saw instead of a giant heavy turd. im just saying if i had to choose a saw that i own to run a 36” 8 pin bar and chain, to buck up a bunch of logs, id grab my 394, not a five cube saw. i guess im just out in left field as far as that goes.
I thought you were talking about modern saws:risas3:.

I think this is one that kind if explains a few things people were questioning earlier.

10.6k and 11.6k the power outputs are very close.

The 262 is still is still gaining tq were the 361 is starting to plateau under the 10.6k rpm

9.5k, and 12.2k in the cutting range both saws are pretty much equal.

The 361 makes a bit more peak power, but the curve of the 262 looks more user friendly?

I think they may have videos of these saws cutting back to back?

@Duane(Pa)
@RI Chevy

Excellent flat long power curves for both saws … great work there Al!!!
