Cue the angry stihl fanboys.... :couch:
One thing I learned today is that if fanboys on either side are triggered in any way by this thread they have bigger worries. If these graphs and numbers give you a boner you should probably just set the powerhead back on the shelf.

Especially if you factor in the variables.

48mm KS. Popup. TA. No grinding. Ran mesh and flock filter. Not log around to immediately cut on.:(
I’m sure it ran well. Muffler modded?

034 Super is a true popup jug IMHO. The exhaust port is almost identical to the 10mm 044 jug. Flattest roof I’ve ever seen in a stocker.

Drop that jug over an .040 popup and you’ll be on the heels of a full port job, if not right there.

Would you be willing to share your curve and specs on the popup/build?

And of course, the variables...

500i with/without the bark box.

So I showed this graph to my wife, who loves data, and she agreed that my mill saw could be louder if it would mean less total time in the cut/running at max RPM.

What's the most power anyone has gotten out of a 395xp work saw? Still trying to figure out why mine isn't getting any spark, but seeing this dyno thread has me really wanting to get it built.

Pretty sure the top 395 was from @srcarr52 that Dyno’d over 10hp early in this thread.

Hi Dakota. Glad to see you over here
Good to see you here too! I almost called you when my 395xp started having trouble. Thought I sent you a PM, but I'm not seeing it in my outbox. Someone on the Hearth.com forums suggested I make an account here. To be honest this is a much nicer place than AS. I do want to get my 346 fixed some time. I did post some pics of the P&C in my 395xp thread.

Build is all farmer jones with off the shelf parts. The popup is Hyway, I did not measure it. The jug was untouched except for a light pass with the diamond ball to create a little more exhaust roof bevel. TA, BGD. When the parts all just kinda found their way here I had remembered your comments on this setup. I left the jug alone because of it. It runs great. I had kind of in my mind figured hp in the 5.5 range and it almost got there. I bet after a few more tanks it would get close. I haven't ran it enough to call it broken in yet.

Thanks John. It surprised me too. I guess there's no need to mod it, port, etc:).

I didn't see where Joe posted this one. ~40% gains from advertised stock hp but more important is a MUCH more usable powerband now. 20" 8 pin square chain pulled it down a little more than I'm used to on these, but it threw chips all over and kept going. Great job @huskihl
