Is the builder/porter paying for shipping/return shipping, along with dyno time ????

Or is the owner of the saw???

Imo, the answer to the question above should have the say if their graphs get posted.

If you are afraid of the truth, don’t send it. Simple
I think it's more respect than anything :beer-toast1:

I agree with that. Anyone scared to show the results is afraid their work sucks and will lose work over it. Taking one apart and showing the world everything done to it is another thing.

I don’t really think Scott is worried about that

Maybe the 1201 is different than an older 1200? It definitely looks like there's room for improvement.
I doubt port timing changed, the updates were cylinder with different coil mount pattern. New type coil with trigger unit in air box rather than on the coil near the cylinder. 3 piece clutch which drum interchanges with 070 now, 1200 had 4 piece clutch

@Red97 Hey Joe, pm me your PayPal info, want to send you some money to cover shipping back to me. If you do this again next year I can probably be persuaded to send the ported 9010 and ported 7301. If the 7301 is broke in by then. Had it back from porting 4 months and still haven’t started it yet. o_O Thanks for doing this “test”, enjoyed seeing my 590 does have cajones.

Are you still boasting about your mediocre chicom 660?

The ignore button is sweet..........

I don’t really think Scott is worried about that

I bet the only thing Scott worries about is if big Teddy Eastwood and Julieann have his money at the end of the night.

What I am finding fascinating and mind boggling at the same time is how dyno power and in-the-wood power don’t fully correlate.

I wonder if it’s peak TQ at rpm for chain speed that makes the difference, has to be.

My theory is we are rarely using the full power. Either we don't have the gearing right so chain speed isn't optimized or we don't have an aggressive enough chain to use the power and we're just spinning wheels. It's like drag cars. Equal weight you would assume more power wins, and it often does but not always and sometimes the underdog smokes the big dog. it's all about getting that power used. You've got the driver/operator. Transmission and clutch/clutch and sprocket, and tires/chain. They all go all long way to be the first down the track or through the wood.
