Great build thread Custer! I don't know about that carb tho... looks kinda puny
i have limited experience, but ive had better luck w moderate sized carbs. i put an HL on a 3 cube, it didnt work for what i had goin. the previous version of that saw was a partner 5000 cylinder with a 372 boot/hd12. that ran well. then i got a HS done by a former member for alcohol/nitro and that was huge for that saw.

That was the 50 a couple years ago at Kev's no? The one that got Dally's pipe briefly? I have some vids of that whip.
oh yeah. and he drove me home in a subaru.

so, pulse stuff has been sorted, fuel elbow is good, linkage is good enough.
a small thing that i had leftover from another garbage saw was recycled to keep that carb in place. this part came from a partner5000.

one other funny little thing for now. the operator presence lever is not required for what i plan for this saw. but the idea of a “stock appearing” saw made me resist using the ironhorse technique for getting out. little flex to the side and it pops right out.
