Early february I reported I bought a new 288XP in Brazil. Yesterday I finally managed to pick it up from my friend who brought it over from Brazil.
It came with a 24'' bar and chain. The bar is a really heavy duty one with a hard nose, weight wise it's pretty heavy. I also bought a few parts for a 372XP or 2171.

Interesting is that the tag on the saw says it was made in 2021. Wondering if they are still being made or only selling their stock.

I made some pictures, maybe you guys are interested. The chain is made in Brazil but there is also an adres in the USA on the back of the packaging.

Ok, sounds reasonable. I remember I saw a thread recently about where chains were being manufactured.
According to what appears to be the date code that chain was made back in 2016, which was back before Husky was making their own chain and was when Oregon was still making it for them.

Learn something new everyday, Thanks
Bud
You can put a high top on the 394’s too. Seems like most of the earlier ones came with low tops. They made the high top standard later on to improve the filtration.
