I appreciate the thought, but that pic has stumped me and my family. According to that measurement, the conn rod is 7/8-15/16 wide but no conn rod I am aware of is that wide. The widest small end bearing I have is 7/10 or so which makes 9/10 sounds ridiculously huge. My dad fiddled with a set of our calipers for several minutes and none of us have any idea what that equates to in mm.

I measured both my 281 and 288 and both are the same. .690 is a hair over 11/16.

It's not 15/16 it's close to 11/16.
Thank you, I need to find a piston with a 14mm conn rod width.
.790”=20mm

Formula : multiply the length value by 25.4
You just helped my OCD immensely! I thought one just read the dial on the caliper but now I see the # on the shaft (7) is the first digit, and the # in the dial (~9) is the second digit, so .79. I was thinking it was reading .9 and the camera angle made it look like the shaft was at 7 and not 9.

It's actually 0.690" (17.52mm) as the hash mark for the 7 isn't exposed yet.
