Great thread Jason. Definitely be interesting to see what a difference you will make!! Have a little work to do on my 066. Haven't taken the time to research it much yet....but getting intermittent spark. Ran great one day...took it out of the truck the next weekend, and poof...had a buddy that was very impressed with it while it was running properly...but rich.
Does it have the old style 1300 coil?
Sounds like you need a new one

I'd like a longer skirt to keep the intake in check but I'm not sure about this 95 piston. It's to heavy.

Who's got a super strong one that's still mtronic? Let's see some vids

Chestnut oak. Pretty much a white oak. They but it just like white oak and they mix it in with white oak when they saw it. About the only difference in the wood is mineral stain. Rock oak will almost always have more mineral.
We only have white oak and post oak
If I'm doing a video I always say white or red oak because there is a big difference.

Your chain looked right for boring.

Gotta watch filling the rakers for cutting like that. To violent and it's hard on the nose and the tensioner.

There's a fine line for a falling chain and you learn fast how to make one cut fast without filing the rakers down.

Nothing worse than a kicking chain.
Get in the hickory and your oak chain is to aggressive. Man I hate hickory

I hate going from a tulip poplar chain to a hard maple. Might as well re chain.

Moparmyway has the best running one I've seen and he told me his formula but I'm gonna try my own way before I try his. I want to beat my 066 with one but maybe that's asking to much.

Piston will be here tomorrow then we will see

Matt ( @Hedgerow ) loosened her up a little by running her in some races.
Either that, or I just needed to get used to her again ............

I've got a couple more cylinders to play with, and I'm going to focus on the transferrs in them.
IIRC, I picked up 500 RPM in the cut with the WJ69 and Euro coil, over when she runs M-Tronic, with the numbers she has now

500-700 is what I saw Kev but it was only running a 69 same coil.

Biggest thing that I noticed with the coil, is that the timing had to be dropped back a bunch.
It seems that its timing curve is more than the m-tronic curve.
I cant remember for sure, but I think 0.040 key thick with Mtronic and 0.055 thick key with the Euro was the best on each one.
Youve got me curious now ............ I might just swap the m-tronic coil in there with the solenoid and see is she gains/loses/stays the same

I didnt play with timing at all when I had the 69 on it. Iirc it was .025" from the key.
