The 066 had such a variance in port timing it would really depend on how good of a runner you have stock. J has a stock 66 cylinder that I bet would give a stock 661 a runI'd like to see an original stock head to head comparison between the 066 and 661.
If someone is going to take the time to find an 066 ringer then I'd say it would only be fair to do the same with the 661 being used. The 066 had such a variance in port timing it would really depend on how good of a runner you have stock. Yeah, I'm just sayin it would be luck of the draw, you never know what your gunna get with a 66If someone is going to take the time to find an 066 ringer then I'd say it would only be fair to do the same with the 661 being used.
A 661 is pretty consistent on how they run but a 66 can vary a lot.If someone is going to take the time to find an 066 ringer then I'd say it would only be fair to do the same with the 661 being used.

I cut timber with it several days and liked how it ran. Very well mannered ported saw
Wow, you sound just like the owner. It's a stihl that's why. They are tough as nails.
Ive timed 4 stock 661s. They have been very consistant. All within the last two years. Of course thats a very small time frame. If someone is going to take the time to find an 066 ringer then I'd say it would only be fair to do the same with the 661 being used.
Ha-ha ha-ha. Funny funny. Still haven't gotten that intake boot on. I've been torturing the 390. It's slowly becoming tolerable.Wow, you sound just like the owner.
