562XP: 598 93 45-01
562XPG: 598 93 45-02
Thank you
Husky website wouldn’t allow me to add the XP to the cart, but I was able to get the XPG kit ........ hopefully it’s the same air filter & not a winter screen

The kit came with the yellow top filter. Looks like a very fine filter mesh.
My new 562xp (2020) came with a white top filter. Same material as my old filter

I have been meaning to ask which is best for what.

The mesh yellow top filter is for winter use, it will also flow a little better, but will not filter the fines well. The other filter is for normal use and will stop more of the fine dust.

@Spike60
Installed one of these not long ago and there was no place for the vent line to hook up to, so I placed an Echo vent on it.
Is there a proper way to install this from Husqvarna or am I missing something?

The older 562’s have that vent line, there’s already a tank vent in the tank. The newer ones don’t even have a fuel vent line at all. Just the tank vent sticking out of the tank. They got rid of that line hooking up into the intake because it leaked fuel into the intake tract and floods the saw.

I have my 550s and 562s all set up with a half inch hose on the tank vent.
I stuff a little scotch brite in the end.
I plug off the intake nipple on the older ones. Easy simple mods...

The kit comes with the mesh filter 590 45 88-02
Just Order the updated holder and filter separately instead of the kit

Filter (flock). 590 45 88-03
Filter holder 597 27 55-01

From my dealer here in Canada, those two are cheaper than the kit was anyway.

Interesting on the filter, I didn't even think to look at the filter in the kit I bought.

I bought the XPG air filter holder for my ~2018 ish 562 since they didn't have the non heated one in stock. Fit right in, just an extra electrical tab, which I understand is for the heated grip. Other than that, it's blue, and came with the yellow top filter. I'll look at a flocked filter, but for the next few weeks, all I'm likely to cut are fence posts. Not exactly the dusty environment that was enabling fine particles getting past my old air filter.

The most annoying part was getting the fuel lines hooked up to the primer bulb properly. Annoyingly tight packaging. But this is the only time I've done more than sharpen the chains, add fluids, or check the air filter. So no complaints.

::EDIT:: I ordered the kit 598934502, FYI. Ordered early in January, if it makes any difference. Blue air box, and yellow toped mesh filter.
