I have a couple out there right now. I’ll look tomorrow and repost here. I could very well be wrong. There’s so much going on in that little area when you’re trying to reconnect the switch, purge bubble, and the heating element on xpg’s that sometimes it gets overlooked
There's a pic at the beginning of this thread that shows how it should be.

You guys made me go look. I actually did remember correctly the first time and the spring goes underneath.

I went out and fixed it, only took a second.

And from memory, there's a lot of resistance when you try to push the switch down to turn the saw off, should work slick now.

I put the black one on and now it works fine. Thank you everybody to gave me the input . I do not know if the blue filter holder is for a winter model because I had three wire plug-ins at the bottom or exactly what caused it to bind up. Or if it was for a different model like a 550.

562xpg. I didn’t look all that closely at it, but I figured the other terminal was the ground for the heating system

I was thinking the same thing but not sure. But for some reason the blue holder would fit in but the throttle on stop level would bind up. my model of my 562 I had to use the black one still scratch my head over that one not sure why something is a little bit different.

I have a blue one on a non arctic 562 it fits perfectly...
You're blue one is probably a 550 is my guess...
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. The dealer had some issues ordering it and l wound up getting two The black one in the blue one and then for some reason like I commented before the on and off switch was binding on a blue one black one with no problem at all. I got to take a closer look at the part number.

I haven’t looked through the whole thread, but was wondering if I need a new top cover for the upgrade. I have the old style wrap-handle 562, and just got the new kit with air horn and filter. I thought I had seen that a top cover was needed, but wasn’t sure. Thanks.

Part number is moulded on the outside. I think it matches the number on yours. Can’t quite tell on this tiny screen.
