441 porting questions

Hey everyone.
I have a stock non mtronic 441 . Its not very impressive stock in my opinion.
Im looking for some recipes for it that i can do without a lathe.. i do have the right angle .

Agreed. Anemic stock to me.
Have you checked the stock numbers yet?
At the very least, gasket delete, widen exhaust, and muffler mod should wake it up.
I haven't messed with stratos yet so I'll let those that have help with more than that.

Advance the timing also

On my MS441,I had .014 squish with no gasket. Make sure to check it. Just the muffler mod helps.

Better watch widening the exhaust. Ring locating pin is right next to it.

Standard carb 441 was one of my favorite ported saws i ever had.

Yea it looks like the bottom ring is going to limit exhaust port widening.
I havent got the numbers yet. Im going to try tonight and il post them up .

They don't need much,200lbs of compression,raise the exhaust and lower the intake,raise the transfers.
I don't touch the stratos.
One of my favorite saws to port.
