Why are there (3) different Meteor pistons listed?

Diameter. 49.95, 49.96, and 49.97mm. Look to see 8f yours has an A, B or C on it. If not, or if it's a B, order the middle one

I don't think so.
One claims to be non windowed, for an open port version like he 268, I'm assuming.
The others must be windowed, for a closed port cylinder.

According to their site, you want the first one, #1314. I bet #2 is for an open port, and #3 is a full skirt...maybe.

Anyway, 1986 week 16 is very early for an xp designated one, so I suspect that the starter cover/label isn't the original - but it doesn't really matter.

One of the very first XP designated ones then, nice!

My memory was slightly off, the first IPL showing the XP labels is dated 1986-04 (april), so that's consistent.

Just starting to get back into this thing. Popped the FW off a minute ago. Is this some type of retainer?

That's the seal. Easy to change, there is an O-ring in there that needs changing too when ya do it.
