PAST 2023 Central Pa. GTG on the Hill May 19-20

A little background... I had my first GTG in November 2020 as an act of rebellion for the country being shut down. (nobody died). Weather was a huge crapshoot. We got lucky! Resumed in May of 21, 22 and now 23. I have a decent site, but probably the most informal of any GTG I have attended. It’s just chilling with like minded wood slayers. It’s Friday Saturday and there will probably be some here Thursday and Sunday too.

Was one of my favorite GTGs ever. Sealed some good, lifelong friendships too.

I think I ran a saw for less then 5 minutes last year. The coolest part for me was walking around and spotting a jonsereds 111s. When I grabbed mine out of the truck and sat it beside that one folks wanted to know where the second 111s came from. Talked to a lot of folks I never met just because of that saw.
I don't bring many saws because I'm an echo guy. It's what I can afford but no one pays attention to them with all the fancy saws you see at the GTGs.

I think the only saw I ran was a ported jonsered. I've wanted a 490/4910 done by Joe but life always gets in the way. Some day I'll pull the money together.

Does a bear *s-word in the woods? Hell yeah man! This weekend looks like a wash, weather wise. But I'll be in the basement working on my neighbors 044 I'm porting, thanks again to the guidance from @drf256, and @Mastermind . Possibly running it in some wood. I won't let the rain stop a test drive
