What do you consider low compression? I've had a few saws done that are around 180 and they seem to run just fine. I've also heard about saws that are up around 230.Not to shabby for a low compression woods ported work saw.
It's the first I've done that impresses me.
Also the first one I've done my new way.
It's 185lb and a honest twice as strong as the 200+ saws I use to build. What do you consider low compression? I've had a few saws done that are around 180 and they seem to run just fine. I've also heard about saws that are up around 230.
Don't have a 441 here but it's probably ahead or right with the last one I did.Sounds pretty good ,How is it against the 441 ? They run ok with early 046 jugs too .
Do you have a theory as to why it runs so good? Is the KS cylinder better, or is it the way you ported this particular saw compared to how you've done it in the past?Don't have a 441 here but it's probably ahead or right with the last one I did.
Maybe stronger not sure.
By far the best running 044 I've ran
It's the first 044 I've done this way and it's just a good one.Do you have a theory as to why it runs so good? Is the KS cylinder better, or is it the way you ported this particular saw compared to how you've done it in the past?
Your 441 is sitting here in the box waiting for ups to pick it up. I can unwrap it and see how it fairsThem early 10mm saws just ran good ,had an angry sound to them .the flywheel is one of the reasons they run good ,little heavier than the ms440 ones .I run early 044 flywheels on my 440 saws ,helps a little with a longer bar .
Go for it ,be good comparison .Your 441 is sitting here in the box waiting for ups to pick it up. I can unwrap it and see how it fairs
I will see if can request a pick up on my endThis 044 will spank it to I'm thinking.
Ups is a *b-word,they won't come get it.
