Sure have... Theyre easy, too, but I like the one screw cylinder cover for instant access to the goodies.
The filter and carb linkages are primitive compared to more modern saws, but I just cant find a superfluous or miss-engineered part on the whole saw (oil line... Maybe).
That darn mastercontrol spring can be a pain!!

Ha! Good point. I grabbed a bunch of those from an ex-dealer and replace em now. it's always fun to watch your buddy not be able to turn off a saw... Most guys never think to choke it lol.
I know exactly what u mean. I drilled a hole in the back mount of one and inserted the male ground spade and threw the spring away. It worked but I wouldnt do it on a customers saw though

Jason which splitter do u like? The u shape or bar stud mount?
I've never owned a case splitter, never even used one.
Heat it up and smack the end of the crank with a plastic hammer and it falls apart.

Same with putting it together, if you can't put it together with your hands it's not hot enough
