good answer. I picked my nos one up from Randy on Sat. It doesnt look any bigger than my 2153 or 550xpg. Out of the 5 I picked up, the 357 is the one I was most excited about!

562xp muffler mod


I had her out in the heat (well it was 90*) saturday, no problems so far! I did take the muffler off last night and brought it in to work with me. broke out the foredom and a ball burr, bout 10 minutes later it should be flowing much better! will see how it has improved next time I get it in some wood.

Ya I'm pretty excited with it going to make some money with it and, then hopefully send it to get tuned up a bit. The warm handle in bitter cold is going to be awesome my hands freeze with gloves, most time run a while, then cut the saw off and grab the bar nose warms the fingers nicely.

I wouldn't own a stock one for long. They're about the best running stock one but not impressive enough without porting to put down a 70cc over it.

the saw seems to run a bit cooler and I've had no hot start issues. the muffler mod though modest also did provide some additional oomph. I mainly did it to let the heat escape the added power was just a side benefit.

So I finally was able to fire up my 562 yesterday, wow right out the box strong can't wait to get her really broke in then send her for a tune up. I have run many 362's all stock, they ain't got nothing for this saw. I have not run a 362cm. But for stock right out the box this saw is very impressive, knowing it's only getting stronger with every tank through has me very excited.

The 562 I ran as a demo when they first came out must have been a turd one. I havent wanted to try another since.
But there is a few guys here I trust their word they are strong stock. But the one I ran was lacking IMO

I work for my town's highway department and I recently got price quotes from my local dealer on a couple of saws.

-562 with 20" was $590
-372 with 20" was $690

MAN I wish I could get the prices the town does, no sales tax either of course!
