I don't want any other saws, but want a AWOL 2260 I think.
So is a 357xp coming available? LOL

Andre (Andyshine77) has a new one and describes having to pull it 6-10 times (after it's been running) to start it. He stated that he "can't in good faith recommend the saw". He does like the way it runs but doesn't have full confidence in the model yet. Maybe he isn't following the manual. But I doubt it since he is very experienced with chainsaws. His opinions hold a fair amount of weight since he is known to be non-biased and honest.

Personally, if I had ANY saw that took 6-10 pulls (after warm) to get started, I'd throw the POS in the trash.
Something is wrong then. 1-3 pulls on mine when cold - pop - choke off - 1 more pull and it's running halfway into the pull. When warm, set to high idle and it's running in less than 1 pull...

After I get my 372 the 562 is next, but may be a minute down the road wife says how man saws does one man really need..... :)
(Heck yes I would like it to be NEW!!!)
Honestly, unless yu just want bth saws, I'd buy the 562 and save your 372 money for a 390xp or 395xp (ported). They'll make you smile. The 390 is an animal when ported and not much different size/weight-wise form a 372.

for the record my 562 had an EL-46. It took almost 6 months to develop but it did have the bog. After getting jerked around locally, Terry @ WWS agreed to look at it. I shipped it to TN, he examined (and warrantied out the carb/brain/etc) and shipped it back. I rarely ever take a tree down without it and I have a few choices to pick from. Yes, I'd buy another in a heartbeat. The 6100 is a tough saw and has darn good torque. I just like the feel of my 562 a lot better. I like echos, but don't like the feel of the 600/620p. They feel more like my 372 than my 562 in balance/size. I'm not that big on the MS362 though the C version is a bit better.

good answer. I picked my nos one up from Randy on Sat. It doesnt look any bigger than my 2153 or 550xpg. Out of the 5 I picked up, the 357 is the one I was most excited about!
Slightly larger than a 346xp & nearly identical in design. Also noticeably smaller than a 262 or most any other 60cc saw.

Don, are you saying that a 262xp is physically larger than a 357xp? I need to put one side by side with Dad's 262xp and see this for myself...

Yes, the 262 is larger, but the weight feels about the same. I do like the 357 better & parts are a lot easier to get!
