in my first two chain tests, Dallas' ground and filed chain ran the same best time as John's filed chain :)
I need to get a little warm weather to run the next two chains on video.
I ground one last year that hauled ass..
Then it broke and threw.

Weren’t the same after that.

Same chassis work?
Not the same chassis work, Dallas’ chain had much less done to the chassis, rakers, etc, but no two chains are ever really the same unless they are purely ground chains.
Also testing with a 100cc saw doesn’t lend itself to revealing the advantages of chassis work as much as using a three cube, but i wanted to be able to pull most any chain in the test with the same saw.

Weighed a few chains tonight...surprised the lgx was almost the same weight as the LP as the LP will lose some more weight.

Firstst was 72Lp with all chassis and tunneling done. Haven’t done rivets or formed the teeth or tail.

Next was a new 72Lp

Last was a completed 72lgx.

View attachment 169815 Not chain related but have you guys seen a bar like this? She said it is a Husqvarna bar. I want to see if that tail can be modified easily for running a large sprocket.
Looks like she may be in Scandinavia, Husqvarna made bar?
Looks like a 20" laminated harvester bar, but wouldn't be a
,050 or .058.
Nice thing about the .050 .058 laminates for competition is the rails are same gauge all around.

We need more women, whom know what they're doing, running chainsaws. :)
