Let's talk race chain

So I've delved into play chain and produced what I would consider good results. To date I've only used LGX.




I'm itching to start another loop soon. Is there another choice I should consider? Maybe with a taller cutter? I'd like to go as radical as possible this time, for my 3 cube saws.

3 cube you don’t need taller cutters. Use LGX or the EXL.

3 cube is the hardest ones to get good. Mine always ended up better suited for a 4 or 5 cube

This next one will be as light as possible. Might have to invest in a breaker/spinner set up.

Nice rakers..
Cutters look sharp..

It's definitely sharp. Just don't know how well it will cut. Wood is frozen and a couple feet of snow is on the ground. Going to have to wait a couple months

That's lookin' real nice! Glad to hear it isn't too hateful to file. Feedback I've heard is it's somewhere between Still and Oregon lgx as to hardness.

I went looking for the chain build offs we did and they’re all gone from competition saws forum not being up anymore. [emoji3525] I found only the timing results.

I think that is easy to remove on a new chain, and you can have this adventage the hole life of the chain...

It would. If you bore cut a lot clip the heels and you’ll not have near the vibration
