Sweet…I wish I had anyone around me that had huskies so I could give them ago….seems the 562’s and 550s are straight bad ass…I would like to compare just for *s-words and giggles, not in like a “which is best type thing”!!!!

You should attend a gtg if you are interested in trying out different saws. The 572xp's are my favorite!! The one I used today I bought in March 2019. It has cut a lot of wood and keeps going.

Yeah definitely! I love my 572xp, it was the 1st new Autotune saw I bought and after cutting with it on just 1 job I was sold. Then bought the 550xp and 592xp.. If I had to pick just 1 saw for everything, it'd be that 572. Even stock they're very respectable saws, on testing and comparing mine cut right with a 660 clone even in the bigger wood and yet weighed a lot less and drank a fraction of the amount of mix.

Hellava job!
BTW...what type of wood is that?
From Wiki:
Quercus montana, the chestnut oak, is a species of oak in the white oak group, Quercus sect. Quercus. It is native to the eastern United States, where it is one of the most important ridgetop trees from southern Maine southwest to central Mississippi, with an outlying northwestern population in southern Michigan. It is also sometimes called rock oak because of its presence in montane and other rocky habitats.

Most everyone I know calls it chestnut oak. Landowner was a previous boss/owner of a motorcycle shop I worked at. Became good friends w/ him and he's been letting me cut on his property for many years now. He has dead standing oaks everywhere on his mountain property.

Broke the branches off and pulled this little walnut home yesterday PM, by hand & foot some 500 meters from my house downhill in the rain.
I was passing by it at took it home.

Looks like the size stem my German Shepard would run around with, and try and take my knees out while I'm "working" outside 😅

Gonna lower the height of the hawthorne/whitethorn hedge behind the house - it grew shoulder high making it tiresome to cut in the summer.
What a freaking mess this stuff is!
Showing it in my shop fireplace and already earned a burn and numerous thorn punctures in doing do.

Yes, I could just throw it on my branch burn pile - but my shop fireplace is much closer.

My son and I got 9 dead standing oak wilt trees dropped and cut up today. We used my Stump Shot 572XP and my XS 572xpg. I brought some 550xps for the limbs but never needed them. All the tree tops were were junk and mostly shattered when they hit the ground. BTW the thorns were pretty nasty! Everything was blocked up to 26" for a owb.

Do any of you guys have tree guys dump wood off to ya?
Two different tree service guys in the last 3 months have stopped in on the way by and asked if they could drop wood off. They saw my boiler smoking away and figured I needed all the wood I could get.

This has all shown up in the last three days. All maple and ash. Can’t argue with that !!

Yesterday I started cutting stuff to length that I brought home over winter and decided to just pitch it on a pipe behind me as I went forward. It’s working very well actually !!
