Randy.... I'm interested to know what your thoughts are on the difference between the flaccid banana fingers pointing directly up at the band and strait hard fingers aimed center rear of the cylinder.

Probably very little difference. I was just going for volume.

These types of threads brought me to AS years ago. I know they are tedious for your, but I am grateful for your willingness to share them. Thank you sir.

I'll be adding more to it when I get the rest of the parts.

I appreciate the words of encouragement.

The last year with all the drama has taken quite a toll on my willingness to share. It's more important to think of the good members we have here than to keep being hardheaded about it.

How much faster do you make them? Whats the story about to high rpm on these types, there is some talking about lower end damage when they are ported and turn 12000/13000 rpm.

I just build them to be able to pull long bars better in big wood. I recommend tune to be at 12,800 MAX.

If they run too long over 13,500 or so, the connecting rod will break. Then it will act like a whipsaw, and do terrible damage to the case, and sometimes even the fuel tank.

Yep.......the 084 rod is what you'd want to switch to if you plan on spinning it over 13,500 much.

Pics of the terrible damage?

I've been very careful not to twist these big beasts too high. And......I make sure my customers know that they are not race saws. So......I've never seen one come apart. Cliff Helsel is the guy that warned me, and shared that graphic description with me.
