Admittedly I don't know much about splitters. That is a nice looking outfit. Is the bearing so large that a 2 or three jaw puller would not remove it? Reading and learning.

It takes a two part splitter to get under the bearing.

There's an option for those who cannot wait and need to pull a bearing right now. Places like harbor freight and such are selling these 14pc sets for right around $40. If you do go that route, don't bother with the little one on the left.

I bought my bearing splitter thingy at a swap meet/flea market for like 10-15 bucks. Use my big 2 jaw puller with it and it works well. Not as convenient as the ones where the puller threads into the splitter, but it works almost as quickly and easily.

Just bought a NEW 3120 2 weeks ago.
I've been running Dinosaurs.
Homelite 650's and 750's
been out of production 30+ years.
I do my own wrenching, And "I'm ole skool"

The other nice thing about these over the 2 or 3 jaw pullers. They pull on the inner race. I’ve had jaw pullers pull the bearing apart because they pull in the outer race only.
